PKD's Mind Blade Runner Scene

While the overall scene depicts the style and feeling of Blade Runner, the details show imagery representing Philip K. Dick. Each neon sign in the scene symbolizes an aspect of PKD’s life. Around the scene you will see signs containing the anti-authoritarianism symbol, a sheep referring to “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep”, Fire, and Japanese kanji symbols for consumed, tortured, and obsessed. There are multiple versions of eyes as they are a recurring feature in both adaptations and works of PKD's. The eye symbolism also appears on the screens in the store, transmitting the feeling of being watched and an unknown authority. In the store window the neon signs look similar to those shown in Blade Runner although these signs read, Obsession, P, K, D, Tortured, Art.
I have created this work in hopes of creating an alluring scene that the more you look into the work the more you see a reflection of Philip K Dick himself.
